US ARMY Ret.) account of Flagstaff Navajo Ordnance Depot, and World War II tells the fascinating story of the mountain town when it was overwhelmed by fifteen thousand workers and family members who swarmed in just weeks after Pearl Harbor for the 1942 construction of Navajo Ordnance Depot ten miles west at Bellemont.
